The Design Process
Garden design is an individual process and every project is different, however as a guide this is the average flow of work:
Client brief - A document that establishes your wants and want nots as well as our initial thoughts....
Garden survey - A full measured survey taking in dimensions, levels and general surroundings
Initial concept sketch - A chance to see we are on the same page & to give us feedback on initial ideas
Outline Masterplan - A refined and detailed plan of the agreed concept with materials specified
Final design - A full and detailed plan of the finished design with 3d imagery and in-depth specification
Planting scheme and construction detailing - An agreed list of plants suitable for their location, a construction layout plan and any construction details thought out and designed in detail
Additional plans - This depends on the garden but often includes lighting and electrical plans & aftercare instructions.
The cost for this service varies and depends on the amount of work needed; as you would expect a large/high value garden needs more time and thus we charge a sliding scale percentage fee based on the total value of the garden.
